Let's Talk Balancing Business and Life!

Owning your own business is a dream for many people. It can be a way to be in control of your own destiny, to set your own hours, and to make your own money. But for many people, the reality of owning a business doesn't quite live up to the dream. They find that they are working just as hard - or even harder - than they did when they had a regular job, but with less freedom and less money.

So how can you balance owning a business with the other commitments in your life? Here are a few tips to get you started!

1. Stay Healthy

Healthy people are more likely to inspire and enroll others. It's a great way for you personally, but it also has the potential of improving your business bottom line! Wellness is costly in terms time management so don't wait any longer - take care by putting self-care at the top of your list now. When we're healthy our productivity increases as well which means better sales results without having put forth less effort than before.

2. Meditate

Meditation is massive. With regular practice, anxiety levels can improved greatly. You become much more focused and productive when working on multiple tasks at once! Plus it's an excellent way to manage everything that life throws our way - just try meditation for yourself today. It can be helpful to start off with just 5-10 minutes of mindful relaxation today!

3. Have a Clear Vision

The key to getting what you want in life starts with being clear on your vision. If that's not clear yet, I recommend writing down a short list of things for which you are looking forward and then edit it from there as needed. Don't be afraid of going into the direction towards perfection- just take small steps at first!

4. Be Discerning

This seems like an age of distractions, with too many good things to go after. We're all trying really hard these days and it's easy for our attention span get lost in the noise - but don't let that happen! Stay focused on what matters most: your mission; saying no will help you stay true (and make sure those opportunities come at just the right time).

5. Stay Positive

We all have bad days, but you can't beat yourself up for having them. The key word here is "gratitude." When you're feeling down or discouraged it's important that instead of negativity towards yourself you start practicing being thankful. This will not only change how your mind feels about itself, but other people might see something different when they interact with you!

6. Rest and Restore

When you are great, it's because of your ability to show up and be present. But equally important is the opposite -- resting up! This includes unplugging for a weekend from social media or any other device that might stimulate you when you're not feeling refreshed enough, yet you're productive at work/school etc., Your body needs time off so give yourself space by taking long walks alone outdoors, reading books leisurely, participating in mindful mediation, and taking time to relax.

7. Fill Your Cup Up

Balance is key to success. You need time for fun, family and friends as well! A balance between work life can help you stay happy while being successful. Just don't forget that it's not all about numbers on paper, but also taking care of yourself mentally so you are able do your best every day without feeling burnt out from overload.

You are not a human doing, you're a human being. The more balance and perspective we have in our business lives the better off they'll be! Owning a business can be a mix of rewarding, stressful, and time consuming. Make sure to prioritize your well-being before your business!
